SUMMER CAMP APPLICATION
Many of the toughest challenges for students occur during time away from school. Whether they face hunger or academic learning loss due to the extended time out of the classroom, elementary and middle school students will find a safe, enriching environment within Communities In Schools of Jacksonville’s After School programs.
Our free Summer program helps students keep their minds sharp with academics under teacher supervision, while giving them the opportunity to connect with their classmates through sports, symphony, robotics and more.
The program focuses on six core areas – academic enrichment, sports and recreation, life skills, cultural enrichment, parental involvement and community service. Students have the opportunity participate in field trips and student enrichment activities such as cheerleading, dance, arts and crafts, and athletics – each led by highly-qualified recreation staff members.
After students complete these activities, they join back together and recap the day before dismissal. All programs are offered Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. – with the exception of the sites with DCPS Summer Boost, Sadie Tillis Elementary and Woodland Acres Elementary School (8 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
All activities will be set up using proper health and safety protocols as mandated by each individual school site.
PROGRAMS BEGIN: June 10, 2024 | PROGRAMS END: July 19, 2024
