As schools in our area close to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus, we remain ready to serve students and families, and we would love your help! There’s no better time to step up to serve our students – and it’s incredibly easy to do so. Whether you’ve volunteered with CIS before or are inspired to get involved for the first time, we encourage you to become a virtual volunteer for one or more of our new initiatives. Your efforts to help from home will not only help local at-risk kids immediately but will outlive this outbreak and serve as a special resource for students far in the future. Donate Supplies
We work with 39 public schools in Duval County, and we see just how difficult some of their personal lives are. Some children may not have the emotional or financial support they need, and your contribution of school supplies and personal hygiene items can make a huge impact on their health, happiness, and productivity.

Host a Field Trip
If your company or employer can host young children safely, you might consider setting up a field trip! Field trips are great learning experiences for students, and they provide real life exposure to work environments, how products are made and shipped, why and how customers use your products or services, and more. Participate in our Holiday Drive
The holidays are a busy time for everyone, and there are many charities, donation drives, and ways to give back to underprivileged children. Our Holiday program, however, goes one step beyond. Our experience allows you to meet the students you purchase gifts for and hear their stories and gratitude. Not only are you able to provide love and generosity to a deserving student, but you receive the gift of getting to know him or her. We have recently partnered with Jacksonville based e-commerce company, HC Brands, to provide support to our students and teachers. Through a generous product donation drive and back to school drive, many of our students, and our teachers, have gotten the much-deserved support they need for a new and uniquely challenging school year.
Donate Funds
A monetary donation to Communities in Schools of Jacksonville also goes a long way to helping at-risk students. Donations are used to support our programs, facility, and to purchase supplies for kids in need. Click here to donate.
