The CHAMPS of Communities In Schools of Jacksonville’s purpose is to involve young professionals (under the age of 40) in the mission of Communities In Schools: to engage them in student advocacy, community outreach and fundraising.
The CHAMPS program creates a greater awareness of the mission of Communities in Schools among the young professional demographic in Jacksonville. This program helps to build connections between future community leaders and CIS; these relationships are key to the sustainability and functionality of Communities In Schools.
But the CHAMPS program also benefits its members. Through participation in CHAMPS, members benefit from increased volunteer opportunities throughout the community as well as opportunities to connect with business and philanthropic leaders. Members also interact with the Communities In Schools Board of Directors, leading to opportunities for personal professional development.
Members of The CHAMPS of Communities In Schools of Jacksonville will benefit from fulfilling a potent desire to serve the next generation.
